I am a naturopathic doctor committed to:

 

1) helping people understand the naturopathic approach ~ that their symptoms are not their problem; rather, symptoms are messages from the body guiding us to the underlying problem. When the problem is healed, the messages are no longer necessary, and the symptoms resolve.

 

2)  helping people restore their health using natural medicines and naturopathic treatments that stimulate the body's own self-healing power.

I find working with patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome particularly rewarding, because I see so many patients who've just about given up after their Gastroenterologist has said, "there's nothing we can do - you'll have to learn to live with it." This is just not true. I see people heal all the time.

 

Likewise, I especially like to work with patients interested in changing their experience of Diabetes.

 

In both of these conditions, I have found that a conventional pharmaceutical approach leaves the patient with much to be desired, whereas I have seen that patients can make amazing progress with a combination of commitment and naturopathic medicine.

 

I also quite enjoy working with people who are essentially healthy but realize that that might be different from a state of optimal wellness, and would like some guidance in how to get there.

 

Naturopathic doctors are licensed as primary-care physicians in the state of Washington, so I am also pleased to support you in that role, including: 

  • annual wellness checkups (including women's pelvic exams and Pap screenings) 
  • seasonal illness
  • managing and treating chronic disease.

About Dr. Epstein

Dr. Epstein is a corporate dropout, who scrapped a career in high-tech marketing, in order to connect with her true calling -- to help people find optimal health, as a naturopathic doctor.
Dr. Epstein is a native of Seattle and enjoys spending her free time with her family, including the rotating roster of foster kittens. She is a compulsive reader, loves to cook, and enjoys gardening.
